For those who do not already know, I just launched a new page: Foursquare Points List. Here I am listing all of the points available and how to earn them. I am sure the list is not at all complete. As I sat here and tried to figure out what the best way to get the info on all of the point values I came to the realization that it would eventually unfold just as my other pages — you leave a comment and I add it. Tedious.

So…I have decided to try something new. My readers are the most valuable source of information that I have. You guys come to my site, leave comments — by the hundreds I might add — and then I read your comments and update my site. Though much deliberation with myself (I argue with myself a lot!) I have decided this is a wasted step. After all, you have the information, why should I have to copy and paste it? Why not just let you enter it yourself? Saves us both some time!

Right now, i am allowing anyone to add a point value. I am a realist, however, and know this might prove to be a bad idea. As long as people behave and don’t try to add a bunch of spam, I will leave it open. If I start seeing spam and hack attempts I will just shut it down and put a Super User system in place (psst…don’t tell anyone, but I am working on that anyway for a few other pages of mine).

The information shown is the most updated information. I will not be displaying progressive information. Confused? Here is what I mean:

Suppose I update Badge 1 at 9:00, then Badge 2 at 9:05, and finally Badge 3 at 9:10. The list would display as:

Then, I find breaking information for Badge 2. The list would then show:

NOT:

I have a confession to make: I am lazy. Wait…let me reword that.

I have revamped the way I track foursquare brands and realigned their presentation in order to facilitate a greater comprehension of what brands one needs to follow in the pursuit of the most elusive of badges, therefore creating the most useful list available on the internet today. WOW…that was a mouthful.

To be perfectly honest with you, the number of brands that are partnering with foursquare is growing so rapidly that I am having a hard time keeping up. Hey, I am a one-man-show here. Not only that, but another site has really outdone my list anyway.

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you may remember when I announced that thekruser.com had made the #1 slot on google. It was a crowning moment for me. It was for readers like you that I continued to update my page…and now pages. Honestly! I don’t get anything out of it.

	Munchies	First, follow ASU on foursquare. Then check in 5 times at the dining halls listed on their page. Nom Nom Nom. That’s 5 check-ins at campus dining halls. You must be a Grilled Cheese connoisseur. You deserve a TV Show!
	Quad Squatter	First, follow ASU on foursquare. Then, check in 10 times at the Quad. That’s your 10th check-in at the Quad. Either you’re majoring in Botany, or you just gave up on class altogether.
	Smells Like School Spirit	First, follow ASU on foursquare.Then, check in 5 times to sports related spots listed on their foursquare page. Whoa! That’s your 5th check-in showing your school pride. You’re a super fan! Now remember to wash off that face paint before you go to bed – huge mistake!

	PEOPLE Hot Spot*	First, follow PEOPLE Magazine on foursquare. After that, I am pretty sure you just have to check in 3 times at venues listed on their page to earn this one, but I could be wrong. Congrats! You’ve just dipped your fabulously-heeled foot into the ultra-exclusive celebrity world. What’s next – your own reality show?
	Oktoberfest	Only available in Germany. Start by following Lufthansa on foursquare. Then, fly to Munich and check in three times to venues listed on the Lufthansa foursquare page.When you earn the badge, you also will receive a 20 Euro voucher for your next Lufthansa flight. Easy! Hey, pick me up some bockwurst, would ya?? You’re a real Pfundskerl! You’ve checked in at three different Oktoberfest locations. Prost to your achievement! Now, we feel you’ve earned a reward….make sure to check the badge unlock email you will receive from foursquare to learn how to redeem an awesome discount on your next Lufthansa flight!
	Mile High	Check in while in flight on an airplane with Gogo Inflight Internet service. Congrats, you’ve just unlocked the Mile High badge! 500 miles per hour @ 30,000 feet and you’re still connected with Gogo. Happy travels!
	MTV GYT*	Since this is an MTV branded badge, I sure you have to follow them on foursquare. Check in to a venue that does STD testing. I am not sure how this is monitored, be it through a specific tag or if there is a list somewhere. Hurry, it is only available through the end of September. Thanks for taking part in MTV’s ‘Get Yourself Tested’ campaign. People who @GYTNOW are twice as sexy as those who don’t. Spread the word and encourage your friends to get tested too!

I am looking for someone to help me maintain my foursquare badge list. With everything going on in my life right now, keeping it updated is becoming increasingly difficult, so I am looking for some help.

The person I am looking for should:

1. possess a basic understanding of WordPress
2. have a thorough understanding of how foursquare and foursquare badges work
3. be familiar with HTML

Responsibilities will include:

1. coding new badge update posts
2. coding new badge pages and updating existing ones
3. keeping current with foursquare Badges
4. seeking out new foursquare badges
5. comment moderation

A few other things to know up front:

1. Although it probably goes without saying, I have to put it in black and white: this is an unpaid position.
2. Pages and posts will be of the same design as what I have created. While I am open to suggestions as to how to improve aesthetics and readability, all design decisions are solely mine to make.
3. In the beginning, all posts and pages will be set for moderation before they will be posted to the site. Once I become comfortable with you and your work, I will open it up for automatic posting without moderation.
4. Posts and pages authored by you are limited to foursquare related information.
5. Failure to abide by the conditions listed herein will result in your author status being rescinded permanently.
