Foursquare Brands to Follow

Do you ever wonder what brands you have to follow in order to earn badges? Well, wonder no more. Here is a list!

I have split the list into two convenient columns. The first is sorted alphabetically and lists the badges that sponsor is…well…sponsoring. The second lists the sponsors I have added sorted by the date I entered them with the newest first. That way you can easily locate the most recent addition(s) to my list! I hope you enjoy! If I have missed one, please let me know by adding a comment below.

HINT: Updates will be announced in blog posts, so be sure to follow me on twitter or subscribe to my RSS feed.

HBO. You have to go their page for How To Make It In America. Not sure if it’s specific for when that show is airing…

Thanks for the comment. Shortly after I posted this, I found out it was no where near being complete. Did some research and my list went from 26 to 105.

Hi Kruser, thanks for the list, but may I ask you why one should want to follow this large list?

    • Rachel
#17 written by Rachel 1 year ago

That one’s easy. If you’re going for badges, you follow these brands, as there are a lot of brand specific badges. And you can only unlock them by following their brand :)

    • thekruser
#18 written by thekruser 1 year ago

      Jone-

Rachel is right. You do not have to follow all of them. It is just better to follow them in case they release badges in the future, as most brand specific badges require you to follow the brand as part of the badge-earning criteria.

    Blackberry is blackberrydev, not blackberry.
Also, it appears Hilton, Lululemon, Perry Ellis are no longer user pages.

    • Joe
#20 written by Joe 1 year ago

Looks like Graphic.ly isn’t a user page anymore either.

      • thekruser
#21 written by thekruser 1 year ago

        Joe-

Thank you for your input! You ROCK!!

BlackBerry link is blackberrydev, but the user name on the page is BlackBerry. That is why it is listed that way. However, I did have to fix the link to reflect ‘blackberrydev’ vice ‘blackberry,’ so if that is what you meant, it is done!

Corrected the Hilton, Lululemon, Perry Ellis, and Graphic.ly links as well.

        Thanks again!

    The Kruser,
Just wanted to say thanks for such a fine job you have done. I have yet to see a list such as yours of the organizations that Foursquare requires you to follow to get most of their badges. Kudo’s to you for all your hard work and willingness to share it with everyone. I’ll follow you on Twitter too. Thanks again!

Thank you very much for the comment. I will continue to update this list. All the updates are announced in blog posts, and I tweet every time I update. Thanks for the follow!!

But those are just user accounts and not actual business accounts….

      • bcirce
#32 written by bcirce 1 year ago

Many of the above are. Since there is no way to make a business account on Foursquare, many businesses are relegated to create user accounts to meet their needs.

This is AMAZING! i have a quick question tho, when trying to check into venues listed on a particular page to obtain a check in to get their badge, do you have to check into the same spot or the store. EXAMPLE: Bravo has Forever 21 listed and it is in CA, I’m in NY so does it still count as checking into a venue that user page listed?

    • thekruser
#40 written by thekruser 1 year ago

That is a good question. I think it is tied to the venue number, so a badge should only be attainable by checking in to the specific venue they list.
